Not all my silly whims are frivolous. I actually have a career doing special events and fundraising for nonprofits. I currently work as the Special Events Manager for our local Alzheimer's Association planning their Walk To End Alzheimer's event. When we recently moved to a new office and hosted a ribbon cutting party, I took it as an opportunity to bring my silly whims to work and decked out my office. As you can see, I may have gone a wee bit overboard with the logo usage . . .
I am currently hosting a fundraiser for Alzheimers. I love the feet and water bottle covers. Where did you find those? please would you email me back at: mikesmomto2@gmail.com
Hi Debbie. I just emailed you with more information. The feet are part of the Walk To End Alzheimer's "Team Captain Guide". Your local Walk Manager should be able to get them for you (in addition to other fundraising tools and decorations). The footprints are a file with the images that you can print at home, Kinkos, etc. The water bottle labels I made myself. I wish I could send you the file for the labels, but I no longer have it. Shoot, sorry! If I can somehow retrieve or recreate it, I will email it to you. Thanks and good luck with your fundraiser. Such an important cause!
Hi Mary! I am hosting a dinner to fundraise for The Walk To End Alzheimer's and LOVE the feet idea. Can you tell me where you found those? Will you e-mail me the info? Melissa.gomez@brookdale.com
Hi Melissa! This was several years ago, so I'm not sure the footprints are available anymore. Back then, I found them on the alz.org website under their Walk fundraising tools and templates section. Here is a link I found this morning when Googling it:
But, this link looks like it is from 2013 so maybe the statistics listed on the footprints aren't up to date (I don't work for the Alzheimer's Association anymore so I'm unsure about that). Perhaps your local ALZ office would have more updated information or new footprints. I printed these on removable sticker paper. The footprints were great promo pieces, so I hope you can find something similar to do for your event.
Wish I could be more helpful. Good luck with your fundraising dinner!
